01

Prenatal Pregnancy Care

Exercises designed especially for prenatal pregnancy can be carefully administered according to individual requirements. Proper diet and a healthy lifestyle are important factors that contribute to a healthy pregnancy.

A balanced diet is essential, as digestive fire may be weakened during pregnancy. Appropriate nourishment can help provide strength and support the health of the growing foetus.

During the last stage of pregnancy, certain traditional procedures may be recommended to support lubrication of the delivery passage, potentially facilitating an easier delivery and helping make labour pains easier to bear.

The emotional status of both parents before and after conception is also considered an important aspect of holistic care for healthy progeny.

02

Postnatal Pregnancy Care

After childbirth, Ayurveda focuses on supporting the mother's recovery and restoring balance. External therapies may be recommended according to individual needs to support the lower back, hip area, joints, muscles and tendons.

  • Abhyangam — Full-body oil massage using traditionally selected oils such as Dhanwantaram Kuzhambu and Pindatailam.
  • Avagaha — Sitz bath using water traditionally prepared with Nalpamaradi Patta.
  • Udara Veshtanam — Traditional tummy care and abdominal support.
Important Note: External therapies following a caesarean section should only be undertaken after complete healing of the surgical wound and under appropriate professional guidance.
